SHOTS FIRED BAR
Shots Fired Bar aka Millie started her life in Her Majesties Armed Forces in 1990 and served the duration of her career in Kenya supporting army operations.
She was originally painted yellow due to local regulations and was shipped back to the UK in the early 2000's. She lay dormant for some time and was purchased by a private buyer after being decommissioned by the Army due to the older fleet being replaced by the new MAN trucks.

The new owner painted her back to NATO Matte Green and retained all of the original features such as the roof hatch and machine gun mounts above the cab.

She was then converted in the rear to incorporate freezers, fridges and draught beer lines. She was named Hope and Glory Bar and traded in the south of England. She was then sold to the Saltoun Arms and driven to Aberdeen in early 2023 and rebranded as Shots Fired Bar.

Saltoun arms bar
The Saltoun Arms Bar was established in 1893 and has changed design many times since. It has has lived through the glory days and hard times alike and has gained some interesting history along the way. The bar underwent extensive refurbishment in 2017.
It was modernised throughout and the kitchen removed to create more room for the pool table and dart boards. We opened up the back and a beer garden added with a large wall mounted TV to keep sport fans happy.

The origins of the Saltoun Arms name comes from the Lord Saltoun Peerage who's family seat is in Cairnbulg Castle in Fraserburgh. The peerage was created in 1445 by James II. There is also a Saltoun Inn Hotel in Fraserburgh and is unknown if the two pubs were linked at one time.

The bar is steeped in history and now operates as a traditional bar with a modern twist. It's a comfortable place to relax, play pool, play darts, watch sports and of course enjoy a few sociable drinks with friends and family.

The bar is owned and run by the Sloan family and prides itself on the family vibe that our patrons enjoy.
